I’ve been waiting to perfect this recipe before posting and I think its ready! (the newest version come out darker than this picture because of hazelnut butter)
At least I am a fan!

1 cup chocolate collagen powder of your choice or a protein powder.
1 cup sunflower seed butter – or another nut butter if you can tolerate it.
3 tbsp date butter or honey
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tbsp crushed sunflower seeds and macadamia nuts
1/2 cup hazelnut and chocolate butter – not nutella! No soy allowed. I found one at Sprouts farmers market.
1/2 cup oats (optional)
3-4 tablespoons of water
Makes 8-10 balls
I put all the dry products in a large mixing bowl first.
Add butters, vanilla and optional honey.
Mash with a large spoon until you get some of the powder mixed with the butters.
Add 1/2 the water needed and mash more.
If its not becoming a big blob the consistency of cookie dough then add the other tsps of water.
If it becomes sticky its too much water.
Mash until your hand and arm hurt and you wonder of this is all worth the effort. (It is).
Roll in to balls with your hands and get messy….but not too messy because they should not be very sticky. Soft enough to form the balls and you should feel the oil/fat from butters on your hands.
Store in refrigerator and enjoy! I use mine to satisfy my sweet tooth in the evening with half a frozen banana! 🤤
