This explains the reason you hardly see any roses on my rose bushes.
Why let them wilt in the sun? Like a fresh rose, I wilt in the sun on hot days too. I preserve my strength and stay mostly indoors in the summer and choose the coolest parts of the day to cut flowers or do errands.
